Yes. Our Salon is open Wednesday-Friday every week. Salon services are provided by Barbara. Services include: shampoos, cuts, perms, hair styling, and facial waxing. (Manicures are provided through our Activities Department.)
Do you have a pharmacy?
Twin Oaks is affiliated with Preferred Care Pharmacy. Preferred Care Pharmacy is an optional service provided by Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living. Residents and their families can elect to choose their own pharmacy.

Here's how our Preferred Care Pharmacy service works (for those residents who choose to use it): (1) resident's doctor writes perscription(s), (2) Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living faxes the perscription(s) to Preferred Care, (3) Preferred Care Pharmacy fills and delivers the perscription(s) to Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living, thus saving families a great deal of time and effort.
Do you have a laundry?
Yes, Twin Oaks provides daily laundry service. Our CNAs check on our residents' laundry needs on a daily basis and see that their needs are met.
Do you provide special diets?
Yes, Twin Oaks Assisted Living provides special and therapeutic diets. Examples of special diets accommodated at Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living include: Regular Diet, Pureed Diet, No Added Salt Diet, and Lactose Reduced Diet among others.
Are residents notified when it is time to eat?
Yes. Our CNAs remind Seniors when it is time to eat and escort them to the dining room, if necessary. Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living serves nutritious, well-balanced, Southern Lowcountry meals. Our Activities Director often serves afternoon snacks or holds ice cream socials. Plus, every evening, snacks are delivered to each resident's room.
Are residents notified when it is time to take their medications?
Yes. Our Med Techs administer medications in a timely manner to our residents. All our Med Techs are trained through in-services in the Opus Medication Management System under the auspices of Preferred Care. So you can be assured you'll get the meds you need to take when you need to take them.
How big are your rooms?
Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living for Seniors resident relaxing in her roomOur furnished rooms are 18' x 12.5'. Each room has a built-in closet and a spacious attached bathroom. Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living will furnish your room if this is your preference or you may bring your own furniture, accessories and electronics.
Can residents have visitors and visit outside of the facility?
Yes. Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living encourages family participation in the lives of our residents. Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living has liberal visiting hours from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with exceptions allowed if a family has a need. Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living has Open House gatherings. Through the years, many family members have come in to do activities with our residents, to bring them gifts, or to decorate the building and the grounds.
Is the staff on duty 24 hours a day?
Yes, Twin Oaks Assisted Living has staff at the facility around the clock. In addition, the Administrator, Susan Shipman, and the Med Tech Supervisor, Dana Knight, are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Yes. Each room at Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living has a personal telephone number that may be called at any time, and the resident may call out at any time they desire.
 
Do you accept married couples?
Yes, it has been our privilege to serve couples who have been married for as much as 64 years and to assist them in caring for one another.
What payment methods do you accept?
Twin Oaks Villa Assisted Living accepts cash or checks for payment, due once a month.
